A native of Charlotte, NC, Allan earned his BS in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Like most Tarheels, he fell in love with Chapel Hill, but after graduation, found that family and career pursuits led him elsewhere. In June of 2009, he had the opportunity to become part of the team at a brand new Keller Williams Market Center in Southern Pines.
Many successful realtors had another career before entering real estate. In Allan’s case, that “other” career was 15 years as a senior level financial executive in a variety of industries. That background in financial management, planning, and consulting has given Allan a unique experience and perspective that helped to define him as “the business professional for personal real estate” for his buyer and seller clients, and has made him a top producing agent during his sales career.
Now Allan applies that experience and training to help his buyers, sellers and investors achieve their real estate goals and objectives. He believes professional excellence starts with a learning-based mindset, as evidenced by his own GRI and CSP designations, and devotes a significant portion of his time to teaching agents at all levels of experience and/or achievement.
Allan also believes in giving back to the profession and to the community, having served as Past President of the Charlotte Regional REALTORS® Association, an officer and director of the Greater Chapel Hill Association of REALTORS, a director of the NC Association of REALTORS®, along with volunteer work for both his church and the YMCA.
